- 01Rishikesh's Laxman Jhula side gets all the crowds — cross to the Ram Jhula bank for the same river views and half the foot traffic at the evening Ganga Aarti.
- 02The Valley of Flowers permit office in Govindghat stops entry by 2pm sharp regardless of how far you've walked — start the trek before 7am if you're doing it as a day hike.
- 03Mussoorie's Mall Road bans private vehicles after dark in peak season — confirm your hotel has parking access, or budget for a short walk with luggage.
- 04Nainital's boat rentals are cheaper on the west (Mallital) side of the lake than near the main Tallital bus stand — same boats, lower asking price.

Uttarakhand Questions, Answered
The Valley of Flowers requires a small entry permit issued at Govindghat, which we arrange. Char Dham requires biometric registration for all pilgrims, which we handle as part of the package.
Yes — beyond rafting and bungee jumping, Rishikesh has yoga ashrams, riverside cafes, and the evening Ganga Aarti, all low-key and easy to enjoy.
It's a moderate trek — about 17km round trip from Govindghat via Ghangaria. Reasonable fitness and a day of acclimatization help; it isn't a technical climb.
The shrines open around April or May and close by November — exact dates shift yearly with the Hindu calendar. We confirm the current year's dates before booking.
